Born in 1975, Big Bolaji hailed from Gbongan in Osun State, Nigeria. He was raised in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he began his educational journey at Subuola Nursery and Primary School. He briefly attended Loyola College before relocating to London to complete his secondary education at Archbishop Tenison’s High School, Oval. Upon returning to Nigeria, he pursued higher education at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, earning a degree in Estate Management. He also acquired additional professional qualifications and was pursuing a Ph.D. at the time of his passing.
Spiritual Journey
Big Bolaji’s spiritual foundation was laid at The Sword of the Spirit Ministries under Bishop Francis Wale Oke. He later became an ordained minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), serving in the ministry for over 19 years.
Music Career
With a passion for music ignited in his youth, Big Bolaji began his musical journey with the group J’apha. He was known for his vibrant performances that seamlessly blended gospel music with contemporary flair, often incorporating humor and local dialects to connect with diverse audiences.
